Registered at UNESCO, Google Celebrates Subak Via Doodle

Google celebrates the irrigation system used in rice farming in Bali, Indonesia, which is written in the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites today, Monday (6/29/2020), in 2012.
Google warns him through the doole that appears on the main page of today's search. The doodle displays the green word "Google" which is written to resemble a subak , where behind it are several other rice paddy steps.
The left side shows a farmer wearing a caping or a hat commonly used by farmers made of bamboo. The farmer also wore a face mask and was sitting on a gazebo.
While on the right side looks a temple covered in black and white checkered cloth or Balinese chess cloth at the bottom. At the bottom of the doodle, several yellow rice stalks can be seen.
This doodle was made by Hana Augustine, an artist based in Indonesia. Through the doodle, Hana hopes that many people can learn about the origin of subak
"When I started my research, I was amazed to learn that Subak originated from our country because many countries use the system today. When people travel to Indonesia or other countries and see this irrigation system in the fields, I hope they say, 'Hey! Do you know? that subak originates from Indonesia? '"said Hana in a question and answer session with Google when making the doodle.
Hana added, she wanted to highlight that Subak could not survive without the hard work of farmers.
"These farmers are often ignored, but we consume their work every day," he said again.

The network of canals, tunnels and dams was used by farmers in Bali to maintain fertile rice fields and live in symbiosis with nature for more than a thousand years.
The word subak does not only refer to irrigation infrastructure, but also to the cooperative social traditions that surround it. Through this system, limited water supplies are managed peacefully through around 1,200 collective individual farmers.

Subak is considered a reflection of the ancient Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which means three causes of well-being and describes ideals, spirituality, interpersonal, and natural harmony.

Reporting from the official Google doodle page, this ideology has been passed down from generation to generation since the subak system was first created in the early 9th century.
This doodle only appears in Indonesia and users can find out various subak articles just by clicking on the doodle icon displayed on the start page of the search.
