Definition of internet of things (IoT)

before heading to the core, have you ever seen a house that closes automatically when the car comes out of the house or do you have the desire to open your door just with your face and you can even open your house even if you are away from home ???? well, all of that is included in the IoT technology, maybe for those who don't know this technology, they can consider this a miracle😀, sure this is a miracle but this miracle is an artificial miracle that is a miracle created by humans.

so this internet of think utilizes the internet to distribute data from a device without having to control or control the device / object directly, so humans are able to control it remotely. This IoT suppresses the development of "Big Data" and also the use of data centers.

Does Indonesia already have IoT Technology ??

       Well, all you have to know is Diro's friends. In Indonesia, there are already around 23 cities that have implemented this IoT Technology, and in what form is it ?? The following applications are at once an explanation:

1. Earthquake and Tsunami Notification System. Now this system is equipped with sensors, which sensors are placed in a place that is also prone to earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides or others. From the sensor, it will detect if there are movements or signs of the coming of the disaster quickly even in seconds. Then, the data (a sign of a disaster) will be sent to the central system or controller where it has been managed by the government. Not only that, the system is also accompanied by a warning (early warning system) and if this is placed in a strategic position, it will reduce casualties from disasters. Because, it will give a warning to them so that they immediately leave the location before a disaster occurs.
2. Jakarta one card or can be called a smart card. So why is it called a smart card ?? So this can be used in several ways, that can be used as e-KTP, can also be used as a payment instrument such as an ATM, and can also be used as BPJS. So the purpose of the card is so that the DKI government is able to know the development of the city community.
3. Flood notification application, now why is this application or system needed ?? Because the government or the related department of flood management must be able to move quickly. Of course, the sooner this information is received by the relevant parties, the faster the response and handling. This system must be able to detect in real time, so when the water has begun to rise to the specified limit the system will send data or information to the center of the system.

What are the main elements in IoT ??

• Device (physical), this device must be equipped with an IoT module, which will be set as needed.
• A networking device, the purpose of this is a device which is connected to the internet, such as a modem or others.
• Data storage center, which is for storing data that arises because of the application or data that functions for its application.

Devices that have been connected to the internet, it will cause big data. Big data is arguably storage in the cloud and this can be used or analyzed by anyone who has access as needed.

What are the elements that make up IoT ??

• Artificial Intelligence (AI): so every machine will be made smart by this IoT technology, it can also be said that IoT is a Brain that is added to the machine or device. How to develop this technology is to collect data, perform logical steps / algorithms with artificial intelligence, and also utilize existing networks. For example: for example a simple machine such as a fan, by providing an operation that is if the temperature in a room is greater than 20 ° C then the fan will rotate and if the temperature is less than 20 ° C then the fan will turn off. It could even be smarter.
• Connectivity: this IoT technology can also create or open a new network between system devices so it is not only related to the main provider of a network.
• Sensors: sensors make Sensors of IoT technology can also get smarter, like a robot that is able to move like humans by utilizing this sensor. Initially robots that have these sensors are trained with real humans who stand right in front of these sensors, such as if someone points his hand towards the robot (shaking hands) then the robot will also direct his hands to the humans he faces.
